A dehydrated nail surface will hold the new base of the acrylic medium better than compared to shiny and oily hydrated surface
Step 2Remove Dead Cuticle
Now take a cuticle pusher and gently push your cuticles back to remove dead cuticle tissues. Then place the tip of the cuticle on the nail and slide it gently over the cuticle to move back your nail cuticle. Don't cut them just slightly push back applying gentle pressure. You may hurt your nail bed if you will do it forcefully, don't place the pusher in a parallel direction it may hurt you badly. One by one push back all of the nail's cuticles
Step 3 Buff you Nails
Take a sanding band or nail buffer to remove the natural shine of the nails, and glide it over your nails in a backward and forward motion. You can also use a small cuticle buffing band to buff the smallest area around the sidewalls of nails and the cuticle area. Buff all your nails with the same method one by one.
Step 4Apply Nail Tips
After prepping and buffing your nails, now the nail surface is clean and shine-free you can start applying acrylic. You can directly apply acrylic on your nails or can attach a fake nail tip to support acrylic nails if your original nails are shorter. You can fix a nail tip extension or a sticker for this, take a nail tip and fix it over the top of the nail using a drop of nail glue.
Step 5 Trim and File Nail Tip
Trim off the larger nose of the nail tip and file it according to the desired shape. You can use a scissor to cut the nail extension and then take a filer to shape it. your filer should be sharp enough to shape the extension. Trim and file all nail tips one after another. Then take a sanding band and blend the ledge of the extension.
Step 6 Apply Primer On Nail Bed
Apply nail primer on your original nail bed, nail primer will provide a smoother and dehydrated surface for the acrylic to work on. Also, it will help in the stronger grip of the acrylic nail. one by one apply it on all nails and then wait until dry.
Step 7Apply Clear Acrylic
Once primer on nails gets dry, take an acrylic brush dip it in clear acrylic, and then apply it over the nail. Take a bead on the brush and apply it to the nail, don't apply it over the cuticle area. Applying a layer of clear acrylic will help in making the color more pigmented.
Step 8Make a Bead
Pour acrylic monomer into a small dish, then dip your acrylic brush into the acrylic monomer and then dip in acrylic powder to lift a bead. Your bead should be not dry or runny inconsistency. You have to take a moderate acrylic bead and for this, you have to slightly wet your brush in the monomer.
Step 9Apply Acrylic Bead on Nail
Apply bead on the nail, Start by applying in the mid of the nail and then drag and spread it in a forward motion on the nail. You have to apply two beads one in the center of the nail and the other on the end of the nail near the cuticle area, in this way your acrylic nail will be stronger from the center part. Smooth out the acrylic bead using the brush, you can also cover it again with a clear acrylic layer for smoothness. Apply over the remaining nails following the same instructions.
Step 10Buff, Apply Top Coat, and Oil
After doing all acrylic nails, wait until they are completely dry. You can check it by tapping on the acrylic nails, if the sound comes then they are dried.
