Kimbap Ingredients

  • Cream cheese: half cup
  • Sesame Oil: 4 tablespoons

  • Black pepper powder: 2 teaspoon

Preparations for Kimbap Recipe

First, measure all the required ingredients and put them aside near your stove. On the other hand, if you will measure and chop them during cooking it may burn your dish or you can add less or high quantities of spices.

Hence, for a pleasing and yummy, and easy kimbap recipe, it’s good to measure, chop, and arrange all the ingredients before cooking.

  • Clean, Peel, and chop carrots.
  • Wash, peel, and chop danmuji.
  • Thoroughly wash and Cut Spinach.
  • Clean and measure rice.

Steps How to Make Cheese Kimbap

1. Boil Rice

Firstly, Take four cups of cleaned and washed rice and add them to the pot containing water, boil them in hot water for 15 minutes or until they are soft enough.

2. Add Sesame Oil and Salt to Boiled Rice

Secondly, In a bowl of boiled rice add salt according to your taste and then pour 2 tablespoons of sesame oil into it accordingly.

Most importantly combine them well using a spoon. Now, Set the mixture aside for later use.

3. Boil Spinach

Now, boil the spinach in boiling water for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Also, Drain the water and rinse the spinach with cold water.

Firstly, squeeze the spinach gently to eliminate extra liquid. Secondly, add one teaspoon of salt and two tablespoons of sesame oil until thoroughly combined.

Now, place the spinach into a bowl for later use.

4. Marinate Chicken Mince

Meanwhile, In a wide-open bowl add one cup of chicken mince then add one tablespoon of garlic paste, 2 teaspoons of black pepper powder, half table teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of soya sauce in it.

Afterward, mix them thoroughly and set them aside.

5. Beat Eggs

Now, grab a bowl and add three large eggs into it add a pinch of salt into it, beat the eggs using a fork or a whisk.

6. Pour Oil into Pan

After the above step, clutch two tablespoons of vegetable oil and pour it into a pan. Now, place the pan on medium flame wait till it gets hot, when you feel that the oil is completely warm then start the cooking process.

7. Fry the Beaten Eggs

Afterward, pour the beaten egg mixture into hot oil and fry them for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once eggs are fried take them out of the pan and set them aside on a plate.

Meanwhile, cut fry eggs into long strips. Moreover, you can cut the fried egg in any shape you like.

8. Fry Marinated Chicken Mince

Now add one more tablespoon of vegetable oil into the pan and wait until it gets warm, add marinated chicken mince, and simultaneously fry it for 2-3 minutes until it changes color.

9. Add spices to Chicken Mince

After frying chicken mince, check the color of the chicken mince. Once chicken mince changes its color, immediately add 2 tablespoons of red pepper paste one teaspoon of red pepper powder, and 1 teaspoon of sugar into it.

Now, cook it for 2-3 minutes more, and then remove it from the pan, then set it aside on a plate for later use.

10. Fry Carrots

Now, in the same pan pour one tablespoon of vegetable oil and add chopped carrots into it.

Meanwhile, sauté them for 10 minutes or unit they become soft.

Now, take out carrots from the pan and set them aside for later use.

11. Spread Kimbap Roll Sheet

Now you have to take out kimbap roll sheets on the bamboo mat for wrapping all the ingredients together.

However, the Kimbap sheet has two sides one side is a little bit shiny appearance and the other has a dull appearance.

On the other hand, gently spread the shinny side of the sheet on the bamboo mat and layer the mixture on the dull side.

12. Layering Mixture One by One on Kimbap Sheet

Now at the top of the seaweed, leave about a 5cm / 2-inch gap and start by spreading the rice evenly and thinly over the seaweed sheet, covering about 2/3 of the seaweed.

Meanwhile, on top of the rice place boiled spinach, cooked chicken mince, danmuji, fried carrots, and eggs.

Now, once you had placed all ingredients on the sheet, finally top it with cream cheese.

13. Roll and Cut Kimbap

After layering the mixture, now roll the bamboo mat from the topside gap which we left while layering.

After a complete rolling, now slightly open bamboo mat. Finally, the kimbap is rolled in a perfect way. 

Now, move it to the mat, then cut it into small circle pieces using a knife.

Can you store a bul dak cream cheese kimbap?

Even if you’re going to eat it the next day, keep the kimbap unsliced and well wrapped in the fridge. In addition, allow 30 minutes to come to room temperature before slicing. Moreover, the rice will dry so it’s better to serve on the same day you cook it.

Can you use cucumber in bul dak cream cheese kimbap?

Of course, you can use cucumbers in buldak cream cheese kimbap. However, it depends on the person’s choice.
