Chocolate Buttercream Cake Recipe
Sponge Cake Ingredients
3 cups of all-purpose flour
3 cups of granulated sugar
1-1/2 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder
1tbs of baking soda
1-1/2 tsp of baking powder
1-1/2 tsp salt
4 large eggs
1-1/2 cups of milk
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
Buttercream Frosting Ingredients
The frosting is said to be the main tool for the rich taste of cake there is a variety of frosting are used for adding flavor to the cake you can purchase a store-made frosting but making it on your own is really a fun thing you can add flavors of your own choice.
1-1/2 cups of unsalted butter (must be at room temperature)
3 cups of sugar
3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of cream.
Before starting the cake baking procedure make sure to prepare your tools for a soft and flavorful cake.
Firstly, Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (degree C).
Take 9 inches baking pan, you can also take two pans if you want double-layered cake
Then place parchment paper on the pan
Then grease the paper and pan with butter or oil.
Finally, dust with flour and remove the excessive flour
Mix Dry Ingredients
Then take a mixing bowl for mixing all dry ingredients together.

Make a Batter

Bake the cake
Take a prepared baking pan
Pour batter into the baking pan

Remove it out from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool down
Take a large mixing bowl
Add butter and whisk it well for 2- 5 minutes until it forms a creamy texture
Add sugar, vanilla extract, salt, cocoa powder, and cream you can also replace cream with heavy cream, sour cream, or simply with milk according to your taste
Whisk them all together
Whisk until you reached desired consistency
When cake and frosting both are ready it’s time to assemble them together, remember your cake must be completely cool down before you put on the frosting. you will need a piping bag with a nozzle to decorate your cake beautifully.
Cut your cake sponge into two equal halves
Place one half on a cake stand
Cover it with frosting using a spatula
Place other halves and again cover it with frosting
Decorate your cake with frosting using different nozzles
You can also use sprinkles or chocolate chips for decoration
