White Gravy Ingredients
- Unsalted butter 4 tbsp
- All-purpose flour 2 tbsp
- Milk 2 cups
- Salt 1 tsp
- Black pepper 1 tsp
Directions for Making White Gravy Recipe
Firstly, take a heavy bottom pan and put it on the stove, turn on the stove. Then add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter into the pan, and let it melt on low flame.
Secondly, add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour into the pan and mix it with melted butter using a whisk or a spatula. Then keep mixing on medium-low flame for 2 minutes or until it changes color to a golden brown. The roux is ready for making white gravy.
Gradually pour milk into the milk while whisking the roux. Then keep it on medium-low flame for 2- 3 minutes and don’t stop whisking.
