According to the Islamic calendar on the 10th of Dhul Muslims celebrate Eid Ul Adha, one day after Hajj. As the Islamic calendar is according to lunar dates, therefore, the date may vary from region to region. Eid ul Adha is the second Eid that is celebrated after Eid ul Fitr. Muslims celebrate Eid ul Adha in the remembrance of Hazrat Ibrahim(A.S) when he was about to sacrifice His son Hazrat Ismail (A.S) for the sake of Allah Almighty, but meanwhile, Allah replaces Hazrat Ismail(A.S) with a sheep. On Eid ul Adha Muslims pray Namaz and then sacrifice an animal for the sake of Allah and repeats the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim(A.S). And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.
