Everyone loves slimes with glitters. All those sparkles and shine look so mesmerizing. Basically, that is what makes glitter slime DIY even more exciting and builds interest in learning the way it’s made. Therefore, we have a simple and basic Glitter Slime DIY today for you to try. Let’s get started.
Material
- One cup clear glue
- Food colour
- Loose glitters
- Slime activator
- Bowl
- Spoon
Instructions
Firstly, take a small clean bowl and pour 1 cup of clear glue into it. Make sure to use clear glue for this slime as we want our slime’s texture to be semi-transparent to make the glitters visible in the slime.
The next step is to add 2 to 3 drops of food color to the glue to make a vibrant slime. Here we are using 1 drop of blue and 1 drop of green food colour, to give our slime a mermaid kind of look, you can use any color of your choice. Using a spoon mix the food colour completely into the glue.
Once the glue has attained your desired color tone, sprinkle some loose glitters of your choice into the glue mixture. You can use any color and any shape of glitter that is easily available. Mix all the glitters with a spoon to mix the color properly.
After the glitters are well combined, it’s time to activate your slime. Initially, add a few drops of activator into the glue and give the slime mixture a good mix using the spoon. At this point be patient and precise while adding the slime activator into the slime mixture. You don’t want to mess up your slime texture by adding too less or too much slime activator. Your slime’s texture should not be too runny or too thick. So, always remember to add it little by a little while stirring it. After some time of stirring, you will notice that the glue will start to get heavier and stickier which means your slime has been activated.
Once the slime has formed its texture, take the slime out of the bowl and place it onto the palms of your hands, and knead it between the palms of both hands to make it firmer and stretchier. Voila! your Glitter Slime is ready.
