How to bypass two step verification iCloud

It's not impossible to bypass the iCloud two steps verification, but it can be strenuous and time-consuming. However, to access your Apple/iCloud accounts without using the 2FA, you will need to prove that you own this account. For that, you will need a phone number, email address, and your iCloud credit card details. Furthermore, you may need to initiate an account recovery process if you don’t have this information.

Step 1 Add phone number on iPhone or iPod

You can only add a trusted phone number from an Apple device linked to your Apple ID. Follow these steps to do so.

  1. Firstly, go to your Settings. Select your Apple ID name, and select the Password & Security option.
  2. Secondly, select Edit in the “Trusted Phone Number” section. Select Add a Trusted Phone Number, and enter your iPhone or iPad’s passcode to continue.
  3. Thirdly, select your country code and enter your phone number.
  4. Apple will send a verification code to the number you provided. Select how you want to receive the code (Text Message or Phone Call) and select Send.
  5. Finally, enter the verification code. Wait for Apple to link the phone number to your account.

After linking the phone, You should now get 2FA codes on the new number, when you attempt to sign in to Apple ID on the web or in an unrecognized devices.

  3. Enter your Mac’s password and select Allow.
  4. Select your country code and enter your phone number in the dialog box.
  5. Select how you want to verify the phone number (text message or phone call), and select Continue.
  6. Provide the verification code received on newly added number.

Step 3 Provide Credit Card Information

Your credit card details can be a great help in accessing your Apple/iCloud account specifically when you can't access your trusted phone numbers and Apple devices both.

  1. Select Didn’t get a verification code? on the two-factor authentication page.
  2. Select More Options.
  3. Enter the phone number that receives the two-factor authentication codes and select Continue. This step will help Apple to confirm that the iCloud or Apple ID is authentically yours. In case you forgot your phone number, you’ll need to either reset your Apple ID password or initiate an account recovery process.
  4. Select the Continue button and Apple will provide recovery solutions based on your selection.
  5. Selecting “Is your device offline?”, Apple will list steps, to get a verification code from devices, connected to your iCloud account
  6. Select Continue anyway to proceed.
  7. Apple will send a verification code to your email address. Enter the code and select Continue. Otherwise, select Can’t use this email address? if you use a different email address. You’ll be prompted to enter details of the (credit) card connected to your Apple ID.
  8. Provide credit card details.
  9. Select Continue to proceed.
