Then in another saucepan combine sugar, honey, lemon juice, and water. Boil them over medium heat for 4-5 minutes. Then turn off the flame and let the syrup cool down.

After preparing syrup, in a food processor add walnuts and grind them until coarsely ground. Once the walnuts are finely chopped dish them out in a bowl and mix the cinnamon powder into them. Set them aside for later use.

Once the preparations are done for making baklava, take phyllo sheets and trim them according to your pan size. Grease the pan with melted butter then place phyllo sheet. Brush the top of the phyllo sheet with melted butter. Then place the second layer and again brush it with butter. One by one place 5 layers of phyllo sheets and brush their top with butter.

After five layers of phyllo sheets, spread the crushed walnuts over it. Then repeat the procedure 4 times. After every 5 layers of phyllo sheets, spread walnuts.

After layering the last layer with walnuts, spread the phyllo sheet and brush it with butter. Repeating the same procedure place 9 more phyllo sheets. Then cut the baklava diagonally to form an interesting pattern.

Layering the baklava is completed now it comes to baking the baklava. Put the baklava pan in 325˚F preheated oven and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once the top of baklava turns golden brown take it out from the oven.

After removing the pan from the oven, pour Sugar-honey sauce over the hot baklava. The sound of sizzling is the sign that now your baklava will be crispy. Serve baklava with green tea or Kashmiri tea.
